Wendy Hobbie, MSN, PNP, Co-Investigator; Self-Management Education for Childhood Cancer Survivors
Wendy Hobbie, RN, MSN, CRNP, FAAN, is Co-Investigator on the UPenn PRC Self-Management for Childhood Cancer Survivors Project. Ms. Hobbie is the associate director for the Cancer Survivorship Program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She pioneered the development of the Cancer Center’s comprehensive survivorship program.
Ms. Hobbie, a pediatric nurse practitioner, is internationally known for her clinical expertise and research with long-term survivors. Her research interests encompass both physical and psychological studies that examine the impact of the diagnosis of childhood cancer and the treatment effects on both the child and family. She is also a Lecturer at the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania.
