Bill McKinney, PhD, Community Advisory Board

Bill McKinney, PhD, is a member of the UPenn PRC Community Advisory Board. Dr. McKinney is the Director of Research and Evaluation at The Food Trust where he works to evaluate the impact of The Food Trust programs on healthy food access and obesity. The Food Trust is a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to affordable, nutritious food and information to make healthy decisions. Headquartered in Philadelphia, The Food Trust works with neighborhoods, schools, grocers, farmers and policymakers in the city and across the country to develop a comprehensive approach to improved food access that combines nutrition education and greater availability of affordable, healthy food.

Dr. McKinney is also the Executive Director of the Innovative Solutions Collective. ISC is comprised of organizations that are committed to working towards transformative solutions. Inclusion in the ISC indicates a commitment to continue to explore ways to serve as change agents and vanguard organizations. McKinney holds a Master's degree in applied anthropology from the University of Maryland and a PhD in anthropology from Temple University.
