Amy Bleakley, PhD, MPH, Co-Investigator; Skin Cancer Communication, Cognitive Aging Projects

Amy Bleakley, PhD, MPH, is Co-Investigator on the UPenn PRC Skin Cancer Communication and Cognitive Aging Projects. Dr. Bleakley is Senior Research Scientist at the Annenberg Public Policy Center and Adjunct Professor at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on investigating media effects on health risk behaviors and using theory to create evidence-based health interventions.

Dr. Bleakley has methodological and statistical expertise in survey research, structural equation modeling, and theory testing and her research has been published in numerous academic journals, including American Journal of Public Health, Pediatrics, JAMA, Journal of Health Communication, Journal of Adolescent Health, and Media Psychology. She received her M.P.H. and Ph.D. in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University.
