About the Keynote:

Eric Klinenberg is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institute for Public Knowledge at New York University. Klinenberg is the coauthor, with Aziz Ansari, of the #1 New York Times bestseller Modern Romance, and author of the acclaimed books Going SoloHeat Wave, and Fighting for Air. His next book, Palaces for the People: How Social Infrastructure Can Help Fight Inequality, Polarization, and the Decline of Civic Life, will be published by Crown in September 2018. In addition to his scholarship, Klinenberg has contributed to The New Yorker, theNew York Times MagazineRolling Stone, Wired, and This American Life.
